School Can™

Fix the meeting where school can't starts. One Plan Reset.

The One Plan meeting should be where a school and a family agree what school can look like for a child. Too often it's where the fight starts. One Plan Reset fixes that meeting in three to four weeks, so plans hold and everyone at the table can breathe.

The problem

Two people, one table, and a rule neither of them wrote. And a child waiting on the outcome.

Parents arrive braced to argue. Teachers arrive with a template and a rule that says the plan must end at full time. Both leave exhausted, and the plan is rewritten a term later.

For when…

  • One Plan meetings end in tears or complaints.
  • The same families keep coming back.
  • Teachers dread the conversation.
  • Your plans read like three dot points.

Who it's for

  • Principals and leadership teams
  • Inclusion and wellbeing leads
  • Teachers and staff who run One Plan meetings

What happens

Three steps.Three to four weeks.

  1. 01

    Listen.

We review your One Plan template and meeting process, and talk with a small group of families and the staff who run these meetings.

  2. 02

    Train.

A Start With Yes session for the staff who sit at that table, built on your real One Plan conversations: how to stay steady when emotion is high, believe the family, and work out what school can look like for this child.

  3. 03

    Redesign.

We rewrite the meeting with you: a new meeting guide, a One Plan template written with the student, and a one-page family prep sheet so parents arrive ready to plan.

What changes

What your school gets back.

  • Shorter One Plan meetings that end with a plan everyone owns.
  • Plans that hold, instead of being rewritten every term.
  • Fewer complaints and escalations to leadership.

Your facilitators

Karen Cocks and Becky HirstWe've sat on both sides of the table.

Karen and Becky are both neurodivergent and parents of neurodivergent children. Between them they bring six decades of customer experience, community engagement, leadership and large-scale change. They know what that meeting feels like from the family's chair, and what it asks of the teacher across from them.

We agree who will work with your team when we book.

Yes. It works with your own individual plan template, whatever it's called.

Can our school pay?

Yes. We invoice your school directly.
