We don't arrive with the answer
We don't come in and tell you what you need. The people inside your system already know more about it than we ever will. Our job is to hear it, test it and turn it into change that sticks.
How we work
Engage. Validate. Adapt.
EVA is the model behind everything we do, from a single workshop to a whole-system redesign. It builds three capabilities into an organisation: a way to understand people, make decisions, and respond when real life doesn't fit the system.
Hear what is really happening.
Bring the people experiencing the system into the conversation. Find the gaps, test the assumptions and understand what is actually happening, not what the process, data or policy says should be happening.
This is where most change efforts cut corners, and where we start properly. We go to the people who use the system and the people who work in it, and we listen until we can describe their experience back to them in a way they recognise.
Believe what you're hearing.
Build leaders and teams who can listen without filtering someone's experience through the invisible checklist of what normally happens, what should work or what the process expects.
The gap between what the data says and what people experience is where the real problem lives. We validate what we've heard with the people living it and with you, so we're fixing the actual cause, not the symptom.
Know what to do next.
Change the system when the system needs changing. Build the critical thinking, judgement and confidence to respond when the situation in front of you is one you couldn't have designed for.
Sometimes that's a redesigned process. Sometimes it's a team with the confidence to use the judgement the system already allows. Either way, the change is built to survive us leaving.
Hear it. Believe it. Know what to do about it.
We don't come in and tell you what you need. The people inside your system already know more about it than we ever will. Our job is to hear it, test it and turn it into change that sticks.
Another training program or a new protocol is often the system handing the hard part back to the human in front of it. We keep asking questions until we find what's actually in the way.
The measure of the work is what your organisation can do after we've gone. Every engagement builds the listening, judgement and confidence your people need to do this without us.
